Merry & Bright
It’s been raining, and raining, and raining. From morning ’till night the rain falls, sometimes slowly, sometimes quickly, but always. And I love it. I love it so much, my heart overflows. Curled up on the couch, the windows open, my wool scarf wrapped about my head and shoulders, listing to the pitter-patter of rain upon the leaves, smelling the sweet moist earth and grass and dirt and puddles and fresh, cold winter skies…
Inside, the Christmas tree glows warm, and sparkles.
Christmas Eve is upon us. It came so quickly this year. But we’ve enjoyed the moments, and spent many wonderful hours admiring, reading, pausing, and reflecting on the beauty of Yuletide.
I added a few new precious baubles to our collection this year: sparkling citrus, frosted Santa with a shimmering silver beard, and a glittered glass cardinal perched in a wreath made of grapevine and evergreen.
Ornaments are gifts you hang upon the tree.
Be merry, friends. 🎄✨
