September Calendar Cottage Quilt Block
Hello September! I love this time of year. It’s almost apple-picking season. Almost cinnamon & spice season. Pies cooling on the windowsill season. The September Calendar Cottage quilt block celebrates all of these things. 🥧🍏
I love the colors of September: primaries red, blue, and yellow, and the gentle shift to autumn hues.The sample is sewn in bold primaries, with a nod to the start of the school year. It would look equally lovely in autumn hues of rich gold, brown, rusty red, and moss green.
One could sew an entire quilt made up of 12″ September blocks, each in varied fall colors, with green, gold, and red apples. Wouldn’t that look lovely? 🍎🏡
