Ice Cream Crochet Throw
Last year I bought a big colorful bundle of Ice Cream cotton blend yarn by Lion Brand. I pretty much instantly fell in love with it. It’s soft and squishy and huggable, and the colors are perfection. It needed to become a throw. So I started making 4-round granny squares, with the join-as-you-go method for attaching them to one another.

(See the cutie in the top corner? He’s the Little Llama Ornament from our book, Kawaii Craft Life!)

I enjoyed working on my Ice Cream Throw, and was pretty diligent about it, until things got too busy. So I bundled it up and put it aside for about six months. But just as summer started, I decided I really wanted to continue on this bright and beautiful crochet patchwork.

I’ve made a bit more progress, and finding it so richly colorful and pretty, I can’t help but stare at it all the time. 💕

The yarn gives this throw a truly wonderful drape. It’s soft and just right for snuggling up on the couch. (Which is exactly what I do as I work on it.)
I also wanted to quick-share two of our latest upcoming quilt block patterns! Toadstool Cottage and Pumpkin Cottage will be available at the Trellis & Thyme pattern shop this week!
