Regent Street Lawns Table Runner

Over the years, I’ve acquired a lovely collection of Regent Street lawns, by Moda. These beautiful Japanese fabrics are like botanical wonderlands. My colorblock-loving self has no issues combining them in lush floral washes.

Last weekend I felt a bit weary from focused pattern work, so I took a break to cut thirty 4-inch squares of various Regent Street fabrics. I sewed a simple runner for the cherrywood console table in the living room.

I love poring over this pretty floralscape. I can almost smell the flowers, and hear the honeybees.

A simple straight-line quilting is how I will finish this runner. Perhaps a line on either side of each seam, and then across. This will bring out the pretty patchwork. The real challenge is choosing the binding. I want a binding that stands out, but not too much. 🌸
