Ice Pops Quilt Block

It’s late June, and that means the temps keep climbing here in Southern California. It’s takes a few days to acclimate, but then even 109-degrees is hot, and every conversation begins with, ‘Can you believe this weather?’

Early evenings are my favorite time of day. I pause from work to relax and recharge a bit before making dinner. Sometimes that pause includes reviewing patterns, and sometimes I have to take my mind off work altogether. It always involves a cup of coffee, and my favorite spot on the sofa. (I may or may not get distracted by the view outside the window – all the busy and buzzy goings-on in the front garden are like catnip to my imagination.)

And so we spill over into a very colorful array of yarn, which in turn, makes me think of colorful fabric. And colorful fabric makes me think of the Ice Pops Quilt Block pattern. This is a very summery popsicle quilt block design. It’s inspired by Trellis & Thyme’s kawaii Frosty Treats cross stitch pattern. Bright, fun, endlessly colorful. ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’™

I’m imagining a popsicle parade of all the fruity flavors. Perhaps a summertime quilt? A cheerful table runner? Or a bold and bright mini quilt to display in your favorite room? All of these, I think. ๐Ÿ’•
